Sensei Jiri started to study Shotokan Karate since 1980.
1988 he moved to Canada, where he continued studiyng Karate. He competed in Ontario, Canadian and International level. 2003 he become member of Canadian National Team of Martial Arts and competed on International Championships. 2004 World Championship of Martial Arts in Jamaica he won gold medal in traditional forms. 2005 World Championship in Mexico he won Triple Crown (3 gold medals and two bronze medals) 2005 he won Universal Martial Arts World Championship in Huston, Texas, USA.
2004 - 2005 he was assistant coach for Canadian National Team of Martial Arts.
